Nellie Hermann

Nellie Hermann is a graduate of Brown University and has an M.F.A. from the Columbia University School of the Arts. Her short story, "Can We Let the Baby Go?," won first prize in the 2008 Glimmer Train Family Matters Competition and was published in the Winter 2010 issue. Her first novel, The Cure for Grief, was published by Scribner in 2008 and issued in paperback in the summer of 2009. She works as a writing teacher in the Program in Narrative Medicine at Columbia Medical School, and conducts writing workshops with a variety of health professionals.
