Kerri Maher

Kerri Maher is the author of This Is Not a Writing Manual: Notes for the Young Writer in the Real World, and the editor and founder of YARN, the Young Adult Review Network, the first independent literary magazine of its kind for YA literature, which won an Innovations in Reading Prize from the National Book Foundation. She has an MFA from Columbia, and she was a writing professor for six years at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Her fiction and non-fiction have been published in several places including Guernica and Poets and Writers, and she was the recipient of the Carolyn Doty Memorial Scholarship to the Squaw Valley Writers Community. A longtime California girl, then a Brooklyn girl, then a Connecticut almost-lady, she now lives in Massachusetts with her husband, Mike, and their daughter.
