Debra Austin grew up in rural Minnesota, not far from Lake Wobegon. She has a BA in physics from Carleton College and an MD from the University of Southern California. Her husband has a black belt in astrophysics and her children are all above average. Paleoanthropology is her longtime passion. Her fiction has been published in the Evansville Review.
