Globe and Mail Says Novel Is Box’s Best Yet!

Back of Beyond by C.J. BoxIn its review of BACK OF BEYOND, The Globe and Mail declares, “If Box isn’t already on your list, put him there.”

Well, it looks like The New York Times took that advice because, after debuting at #15, the book is #25 on this week’s list and will be #27 on next week’s!

The full Globe and Mail review is after the jump!

This is the third stand-alone mystery from Box, author of the excellent Joe Pickett series, and fans know they can expect lean prose and a tightly organized plot. Box delivers both in what is surely his best novel so far. Cody Hoyt is a beaten-down cop in search of the man who killed his friend, and the next victim may just be Cody’s own son. As he heads down Montana’s roads, he ends up in Yellowstone Park. If Box isn’t already on your list, put him there.
