We’re thrilled to tell you that James Thompson, author of the acclaimed Inspector Vaara series, has joined our agency!
A native of Kentucky, Jim has lived in Finland for over a dozen years, establishing himself as one of their preeminent noir authors. Snow Angels, the first novel in the Vaara series, published by Putnam in 2010, was named one of Booklist’s ten best debut crime novels of the year and was nominated for the Edgar, Anthony, and Strand Critics awards. Kirkus named his second book, Lucifer’s Tears, one of the best novels of 2011. The third installment, Helsinki White, was published in March of this year, and the fourth, Helsinki Blood, is forthcoming in 2013. We look forward to working with Jim on many more!
