Two Nominations and a Win!

Dennis LehaneWe’re very pleased to tell you that the Independent Mystery Booksellers Association has nominated Dennis Lehane’s MOONLIGHT MILE for a Dilys Winn Award. The award, named after the founder of the first mystery bookstore in the U.S., is given annually to the title which booksellers across the country most enjoyed selling. (Dennis won in 1999 for GONE, BABY, GONE and in 2002 for MYSTIC RIVER, so let’s hope that he can Winn a third time!)

Booksellers in Spain also seem to love Lehane! THE GIVEN DAY won the Madrid Booksellers’ prize for best novel of 2010, known as “el Premio del Gremio de los Libreros,” or, as we say at ARLA headquarters, “the Gremies.”

Dennis also seems to have plenty of Finnish fans; Suomen dekkariseura ry, a Finnish detective novel society, has chosen him as the best foreign crime author of 2010!

Congratulations, felicitaciones, and onneksi olkoon, Dennis!
